Namaste! I’m Pratima Giri—a passionate chemist, educator, and explorer of both the natural world and the inner self. My academic path led me to earn a master’s degree in chemistry, igniting a deep curiosity for the intricate secrets held within nature’s design.

Currently, I work as a Scientific Officer at the Government of Nepal, in the Phytochemical Department of the Natural Product Research Laboratory. Here, I have the privilege of investigating Nepal’s botanical treasures, uncovering the science behind natural compounds, and contributing to the sustainable use of our country’s rich natural resources.

Kathmandu is now where I call home—a vibrant city that fuels my love for learning and sharing knowledge. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed teaching chemistry in various schools and colleges, helping students discover the wonders of science and inspiring a spirit of inquiry.

Beyond the laboratory and classroom, I find peace and inspiration in the embrace of nature and the practice of Vipassana meditation. This journey into mindfulness has transformed how I experience the world, bringing clarity, balance, and a deeper appreciation for every moment—both in science and in life.

Through this blog, I hope to share my experiences, insights, and the beautiful intersections I’ve discovered between chemistry, nature, and mindful living. Join me as we explore the dance of atoms, the wisdom of the natural world, and the transformative power of a mindful approach to our ever-changing lives.

Let’s embark on this journey together—where curiosity meets contemplation, and every discovery leads to deeper understanding.
